Embodying Our Highest Self

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion

Good Morning beautiful people,

I hope that you are safe and healthy, wherever you are in the world.

What a week it has been on planet earth, and my heart goes out to anyone affected in any shape or form by the tragic events in Lebanon. 2020 seems like it ain’t sparing any shaky foundations, they are all coming up to the surface.

This year is affecting us globally and collectively, and today, I choose to call on you personally.

In meditation we talk about a number of principles which include no fixing, no comparing and no judging, yet, the mind we all so dearly associate ourselves with compares, judges and wants to fix desperately.

What if investing our energy in judging and comparing was actually taking us further away from our highest selves? What if all the energy we kept consuming to fix ourselves kept us disconnected from listening to our inner wisdom?

The reason why most of us practice any form of meditation is to calm our mind and soften our heart. And it is from that place of stillness, that we can access the golden nuggets that are present in each and every one of us. For instance, when I write to you weekly, I somehow feel connected to my highest self and it feels so very good to show up from this place.

Yet, like most of us human specie, I compare myself to others, judge and step out of this state of grace regularly.

So today, my wish is that as you take a deep inhale, you somehow tune in to your highest self by feeling the air moving through your nostrils and cancelling all the noise within you that doesn’t serve you.

As you breath out, how about visualising the golden nuggets hidden within you coming up to the surface and enabling you to show up from your highest self only. Taking actions that nourish you, as if you already have everything you dream of. This may sound like utopia for some, but I truly believe that as we invest our time infusing more presence within our cells, we can make better choices and as the controversial late MJ used to say: “make this world a better place.”

May you be healthy,
May you be free from suffering,
May you feel joy,
and May you love dearly.

In case you feel called to deepen your practice, we are still meeting daily at 930am brussels time on zoom. HTTPS://ZOOM.US/J/6911455565   PASSWORD: 739019

Otherwise, feel free to message me your questions or comments, I love reading them.

With Love and Deep Respect,

Vanessa
