May There Be Light

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion

Good morning beautiful people,

I do hope that you are safe and healthy, wherever you are in the world.

The sun sure does help in making our days feel more glorious, but today, like most Fridays, my focus is on our internal weather, regardless of the external one.

As author Gary Zukav describes in The Seat of the Soul, “different thoughts create different emotions” and all of it is energy. So, whether we believe thoughts that make us angry or happy, these will automatically create a frequency within us that will match that of what we think. Therefore, thoughts about anger, violence, greed, fear and jealousy, will lower the frequency of our energy and dim our Light. The same goes with believing thoughts that are caring, loving or creative, “they will create high-frequency emotions, such as appreciations, forgiveness and joy and in turn raise our frequency and attract a lot of good stuff.”

If choosing the quality of our thoughts ( yes we can choose) and emotional current determines the quality of our inner Light, why are we not more careful about what we think? It feels so good to shine, so if we knew how to do it with more ease, we would probably take the time to dismiss most thoughts that lower our vibration.

On this note, I am going to invite you to take a deep inhale and feel the air moving through your nostrils. As you breath out, how about letting go anything and everything you no longer need and making a promise to yourself that you will be more careful about the quality of your thoughts.

This is not about becoming ignorant to the realities of life, but we can always choose how we want to deal with what comes to us: blames and regrets are one option and acceptance and compassion another?

My wish for us all today, is that we shine so bright that we are forced to wear sunglasses all year long.

If you feel called to deepen this practice and happen to be in Brussels on Friday June 17th, I am doing a worshop from 10am to 1pm.

And in case you are somewhere else in the world, you can tune in online. Payment is donation based.

With love and Deep Respect

Vanessa
