Good Morning Beautiful People,

I hope that you are able to find some peace and sleep during these challenging times.

Today, more than any other Friday, I am here to remind you about your breath: your main ally during strenuous times.

Not only does it enable us to connect to what is, but when we breath consciously, feeling the air moving through our nostrils, down our lungs to our bellies, it sends a signal to our parasympathetic nervous system that we are safe, and just like that, we get out of fight, flight or freeze mode and can instead access clarity, rest and digest.

So today, more than any other day, I pray that we all feel safe, I pray that we give ourselves what we need at a most basic level, looking after one another, however we can, even through social distancing.

On this note, I am going to invite you to take a deep inhale, feeling the air moving in through your nostrils and  travel down to your belly. As you breath out, feeling your belly going in, take all the time you need, even if your mind is telling you that you have more important matters to tend to. We are all doing our best, and today, more than any other day, I dare to remind you of the basic principles of mindfulness: acceptance, presence, non-judgement and self-compassion.

It takes practice to change our set ways, but the good news is that our brains are made in such a way that we can rewire them. So in case you do feel called to go deeper, I have recorded a new meditation and am online everyday for a thirty minutes guided meditation at 9:30am CET. The zoom link is the following: https://zoom.us/j/6911455565.

Like always, please do let me know if you have any questions, and don’t hesitate to comment or forward this message to whoever might need this gentle reminder.

May we all be safe and healthy.

With Love and deep respect,

Vanessa
