Our Love For One Another

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion

Good morning beautiful people,

I hope that you are safe and healthy, wherever you are in the world.

Well, the world has been hurting, maybe a little more this week, with fires in different places and Afghanistan’s images being so painful to watch, taking us deep in our discomfort.

As if the faith that had been restored in the past years and the lives that had been lost were in vain. Just like that, with a change of government in the west, it all crumbles.

In the spiritual world, we often hear how what we experience on the outside, is a projection of what’s going on within. And the pictures we saw this week of people in deep primal fear resonates at a foundational level for us all; shelter, food, and safety being at the core of that foundation.

So on this note, I am going to invite you to take a deep inhale, and feel your feet on the ground. Today, is about counting our blessings, doing a home check with our primal needs: are you safe, is your tummy being fed, are you drinking water? It all starts with that and most of us reading this email, have the chance to live in some kind of abundance. From there, we can build upon anything, bearing in mind that the pain of others, will automatically also impact how we feel. Yet, as we exhale, feeling the air moving out of our nostrils let’s pause and check in with ourselves.

Are you being called to donate, to hug one of your loved ones, to light a candle? Whatever it is, let’s take the time to listen, because we can do that, pause and smell the roses.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, and until then, meditations will start again on September 1st at 930 am Brussels time or 830am London time. I have missed them dearly and will send you the link next week.

With love, respect and so much light

Vanessa
