Good morning beautiful people,

I hope that you are all well and safe, wherever you are in the world.

As we are still confined, having fewer distractions than usual, some of us are suddenly facing our less favourable human traits.

Yet, being present to what is, doesn’t leave any room for self -criticism. It is only when we project ourselves in the future or are stuck in the past that we blame ourselves for our actions or the way we are.

When we cultivate true presence, there are no mistakes. There is heart, there is compassion but there are no mistakes.

So I would like to invite you to feel your feet on the ground, your sit bones on the chair you might be sitting on and take a deep inhale.

Feeling the air moving through your nostrils, your chest expanding, your belly loosening and as you gently and slowly breathe out, how about feeling your chest contracting and your belly going in.

What a relief to let go of our mind’s constant chatter and land in our body.

Present to what is, letting go of what isn’t.

On this note, I would like you to take in the following quote about the journey to self-forgiveness:

“Forgive yourself, you are not perfect.

Show yourself grace, you are still learning.

Show yourself patience, you are on a journey.”

It’s as simple as that, as we learn to train our brain and become present to what is, we naturally start letting go of behaviours and patterns that feel harmful to the self. I am convinced that it is not the person in front of us that causes us the most pain, it is the voice in our head that we still buy into.

What if that voice wasn’t even yours to begin with? What if it was the voice of your main caregivers and of people you grew up with? What if it was time to let go self- loathing and instead practice self- forgiveness?
