A Lesson in Humility

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion

Good morning beautiful people,

I do hope that you are safe and healthy, wherever you are in our wild world.

I am writing to you from the mountains, after having spent a day climbing  what seemed like an insurmountable task.

Looking up felt nauseating and looking down was not so good either, so I was left with the one and only task of taking one step at a time. And, when there is a will, there is a way.  So we all made it to the top, breathed, took a few pictures, ate some and felt proud.

Yet, what goes up, must come down and as Tibetan nun Pema Chaudron beautifully said:

“We can let the circumstances of our life’s harden us so that we become increasingly resentful and afraid, or we can let them soften us, become kinder, and more open to what scares us. We always have this choice.”

Climbing a mountain is a metaphor for living life and experiencing its many challenges.

Yet, step by step, day by day, we eventually find our way.

May we all be healthy
May we all keep going
May we all rise in humility

Please don’t hesitate to message me your comments or desire for a session. It is always a pleasure to hear from you.

With love and deep respect

Vanessa
