Returning to Stillness

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion

Good morning beautiful people,

I hope that you are healthy and doing your best to surf the waves life keeps sending your way.

Yes, my intro sentence changed a little today, and its nice to have a change, somehow move forward.

In meditation, we talk about stillness though; the stillness of the mind, even in a moving body and ongoing events around us.

So how can we nurture the stillness within, i.e. saying goodbye to an anxious mind that is stuck in the past and future, and be present to what is, free of judgment, with compassion and a whole lot of self acceptance?

This practice is indeed sweet, and more sustainable than the fast pace our society tells us to abide to.

Actually, I keep seeing everywhere how happiness really is not determined by how successful or how wealthy one is, happiness is probably about how we feel within? So why is slowing down so daunting? Are we scared to uncover a can of warms within?

On this note, I would like to invite you to take a deep inhale, feeling your feet on the ground.

As you pause and exhale, can you feel your sit bones touching the chair you might be sitting on? How are you feeling, within? Is your mind busy, pre summer holiday mode? Or are you able to be present to the days that going by, somehow with a slower pace.

My wish for us all today, is that we become kinder with ourselves, realising that when we feel a little anxious, stuck in the past or in the future, there is always a doorway to take us back to what is, maybe even pause to smell the roses.

Please dont hesitate to message me if you have any question. My podcast will resume soon, yet it was time to step up my game:)

With Love and Deep Respect,

Vanessa
